Publication Explores U.S.-Nigeria Relations
Underscoring its commitment to supporting efforts to expand international awareness and understanding of African issues, Africa Peace Support LLC (APS) is celebrating the successful completion of its latest and most challenging publication project to date. The company's brief was to design and produce a distinctive publication for our client, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United States, detailing the progression of Nigeria's relations with the United States in the past fifty years, beginning with Nigeria's independence in 1960.
The result, Nigeria and the United States: Twists and Turns through Five Decades, is a 183-page volume that provides a detailed and in-depth assessment of the relationship between the world's sole superpower and Africa's most populous nation. The book chronicles the early contacts between the two countries and then assesses how that relationship has evolved.
"APS is very proud of the work we have done with this volume," said Ambassador Shola Omoregie, President and CEO of APS, who co-edited the volume with Dr. Abiodun Alao, a Senior Research Fellow at Kings College, London in the United Kingdom. "We enlisted the services of some of Nigeria's most notable international relations experts to provide chapter contributions. The result has been a highly accurate documentation of this critical bilateral relationship. We are eagerly looking forward to collaborating with other clients to produce similar volumes to address other aspects of Africa's international relations," continued Ambassador Omoregie, who described the book as a first of its type.
Ambassador Omoregie collaborated with Micro Tech Industries, Inc to create a stunning publication cover concept and the editorial design. APS also worked closely with the client on the page spread and general layout composition, ably completing revision after revision until the final product was achieved. In addition, APS coordinated the printing, shipping and final delivery of copies of the book to the client, completing the entire project within the 12 months production schedule. The formal launch of the volume will be announced by the Embassy of Nigeria in due course.
APS, an international consulting services firm, provides strategic political advice, guidance and other services to clients to help them make informed decisions on African related issues.
